Blackboard performance problems - Sept 17

Our supplier Blackboard Managed Hosting has taken additional measures since Wednesday September 12 to prevent any further problems with the Blackboard environment. This has resulted in a good and stable performance. Behind the scenes the company Blackboard is still searching for the cause of the performance problems. ICTS expects that this has no noticeable effect for end users and will see to that in their contact with the company Blackboard.

Yesterday, UT has escalated the Blackboard problems to the supplier of the application. Blackboard company acknowledges the severity of the problems and has taken several measures to keep the performance stable and as good as possible. The performance of the Blackboard servers is actively monitored and appropriate action will be taken directly if any problems are detected. Current information indicates that the problems are rooted in the Blackboard software and if these require a patch it will be escalated to the Blackboard development department with highest priority.


Blackboard apologizes for the degradation in service that UT users have been experiencing during the incidents over the last two weeks.
