Yesterday, UT has escalated the Blackboard problems to the supplier of the application. Blackboard company acknowledges the severity of the problems and has taken several measures to keep the performance stable and as good as possible. The performance of the Blackboard servers is actively monitored and appropriate action will be taken directly if any problems are detected. Current information indicates that the problems are rooted in the Blackboard software and if these require a patch it will be escalated to the Blackboard development department with highest priority.
Blackboard apologizes for the degradation in service that UT users have been experiencing during the incidents over the last two weeks.
