On January 2012, the Press Relations Department of the Directorate for Marketing & Communications of the University of Twente launched the ‘UT in the Media’ Prize. Each year, the department will be keeping track of the UT community on the radio, TV, in newspapers and magazines. Staff and students are invited to inform us of any personal media coverage during the course of the year via this website.
‘UT in the Media’ Prize
What does this prize entail? As of January 2012, the UT’s Press Relations Department will be keeping a record of any member of the UT community who has informed the department of a contribution to the media. Each time a UT member is in the news (newspaper, radio, TV, magazine, internet), he/she is awarded (weighted) credits. The department subsequently ensures that any contribution is copied to the UT NewsMail, faculty newsletters and websites, in the alumni newsletter and on Twitter and LinkedIn.
The ‘UT in the Media’ Prize is a stimulus for regularly bringing the UT and the results of scientific research to the attention of a wider audience and the so-called media toppers will be put in the spotlight at the end of each year. We hereby invite everyone (scientific staff, PhDs, personnel and students) to inform us of their contribution (attaching it as proof, either as a link or pdf) via this website.
