Introduction period (Kick-In)
The students of the University of twente organize a great introduction period called the Kick-In. The Kick-In will take place from 22th till 27th of August. Have a look at the programme here. You, as a premaster or minor student, are very much welcome to join these days. During this period, you will get to know your fellow students, the staff, the UT and Enschede. As a special part of the Kick-In a Faculty introduction is organised on tuesday August 25th. Health Sciences is part of the Science&Technology Faculty (TNW in Dutch). Especially if you are new to the university you are strongly advised to attend this day! During lunch we very much would like to meet you that day! More info on this day can be found here.
Start Academic year 2026-2027
The education starts on monday August 31st. See information below on how to fins your schedule. On this first day of the education we cordially invite you for a welcome coffee (11:30hr, location TL2148) to meet all of you with Govert Verhoog (programme director), Anouk Prins (study advisor), Nienke Pleijzier (educational coordinator) and Rianne Kortekaas (educational coordinator). If you are not able to join this moment, please contact Rianne Kortekaas via r.kortekaas@utwente.nl before 28th of August.
The first quartile lasts from August 31st to November 6th. The courses you will follow depend on your background knowledge. Please check your letter of admission to see which courses you should follow. We offer the following courses in the first quartile:
- Health care economics and financing (3EC, course code: 202600374)
- Economic evaluation in healthcare (4EC, course code: 202400160)
- Financial and management accounting (3EC, course code: 202400161)
- Data Science (5EC, course code: 202500516) *
* Expected prior knowledge: Linear Regression and Basis Probability Theory. You can search for materials online if you need refreshment or read chapters 1 to 5 and 7 from the book Twisk, J. W. R. (2014). Inleiding in de toegepaste biostatistiek. reed business education.
If you follow a 30EC program, you will also attend Module 6 of GZW called 'Klinisch Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek' with course code 202400165 from 9th of November to 29th of January. This part is taught in Dutch.
Register yourself no later than Wednesday August 26th for the first quartile for the courses that you have to follow via https://utwente.osiris-student.nl/login (second quartile before 4/11).
