Title: MindDistrict: Developing and evaluating behavioural change techniques to improve compliance to eHealth interventions.
Type of assignment: MA
Internal or external?: Internal/external: location Amsterdam (50%)_…… https://www.minddistrict.com………………………………………..
Maximum number of students: 1
Individual collecting of data? No
Type of research: quantitative/ literature review
Description of the assignment:
Minddistrict offers a catalogue of more than 200 eHealth modules – predominantly focused on the mental health care sector. Most of these modules are intended for use in blended treatment, which means that face-to-face sessions are combined with eHealth.
Like traditional face-to-face treatment, eHealth modules are not finished by everyone. And that is a pity. Every day Minddistrict is working to increase the number of sessions that people finish.
One of the promising ways to do this is to use behavioural techniques and persuasive communication to increase the compliance of our eHealth modules. For instance, by using implementation intentions for using our product.
In this project you will design behavioural techniques/persuasive communication with the aim to improve the compliance to our eHealth modules. You will use academic literature on behavioural change techniques and persuasive communications to achieve this. For this project we operationalize “compliance” as the percentage of sessions completed. Moreover, you will study the effects of these techniquesin an A-B test and report on this.
Who are we looking for? Masters student with Mastery of the Dutch language. Preferably, you will be present at the Minddistrict office in Amsterdam at least 50% of the time.
