Expertise

Liseth is epidemioloog en post-doc onderzoeker bij het Persuasive Health Technology Lab, Center for eHealth, aan de Universiteit Twente, te Enschede. Ze heeft zowel arbeids- en organisatiepsychologie als gezondheidspsychologie gestudeerd en is Cum Laude afgestudeerd aan de research master “Social Systems Evaluation and Survey Research”, binnen de track “Evaluation and Assessment in Health and Safety Psychology”. Liseth is gepromoveerd op het meten, modelleren en monitoren van ziekteactiviteit in patiënten met reumatoïde artritis.

Tijdens haar promotie is Liseth voor een periode van 3 maanden naar Stanford University (CA, USA) gegaan om daar samen te werken met de hoog aangeschreven onderzoeksgroep van Prof. Dr. E. Krishnan, met wie zij meerdere artikelen heeft gepubliceerd. Liseth was en is betrokken bij verschillende onderzoeksprojecten als ook bij de begeleiding van bachelor, master en PhD studenten. Daarnaast heeft zij meerdere internationale conferenties gehost of georganiseerd.

Haar onderzoeksinteresses en expertise liggen op het gebied van de epidemiologie, methodologie en statistiek, gedragswetenschappen, Big Data, (ziekte) uitkomstmaten, gezondheidstechnologie (eHealth) en public health.

Momenteel focust het onderzoek van Liseth zich op twee projecten:

  1. The use of Big Data for Personalized, Persuasive, and Safe Healthcare
    Welke factoren zijn cruciaal bij het gebruik en het managen van big data om the groeiende behoefte aan gepersonaliseerde en kosteneffectieve gezondheidszorg te ondersteunen? We willen meer inzicht verkrijgen in hoe we data van grote en complexe datasets op een effectieve, efficiënte en veilige manier kunnen gebruiken om de ontwikkeling van real-time, accurate, persuasieve en gepersonaliseerde feedback-systemen mogelijk te maken.
  2. ePublic Health: Developing an interactive platform for tailored risk communication to prevent non-alimentary zoonotic diseases
    De ontwikkeling van een web-based communicatieplatform (het eZoon platform) om onzekerheden te verminderen en om individuele en collectieve beschermende maatregelen tegen zoönoses te stimuleren. Een adaptief Vraag-en-Antwoord systeem alsmede een e-learning game voor professionals en publiek zullen onderdeel uitmaken van het eZoon platform om kennis te vergroten en om zelfmanagement via self-learning en gebruiker-adaptieve communicatie mogelijk te maken.
