Expertise

Stans Drossaert heeft Gezondheidsvoorlichting en –Opvoeding (Health Promotion) gestudeerd aan de Universiteit van Maastricht, is gepromoveerd op “psychosociale aspecten van borstkankerscreening” en is momenteel werkzaam als universitair hoofddocent voor de opleiding Psychologie.

Haar onderzoeksinteresses liggen op het vlak van patiëntparticipatie en patiënt-empowerment. De vraag: ‘Hoe kunnen we patiënten en gezonde mensen toerusten met voldoende informatie, vaardigheden, en/of hulpmiddelen, opdat zij beter in staat zijn actief te participeren in 'managen' van hun (mentale) gezondheid?’ staat in haar onderzoek centraal. Daarbij is Drossaert vooral geïnteresseerd in de rol van (internet-)technologie hierin.

Onderwerpen waarmee Drossaert zich in het kader van dit onderzoeksthema bezighoudt zijn o.a.: Shared Decision Making en online Decision Aids, eHealth Literacy, Patient-portalen, eself-compassie en psychologische ondersteuning voor mantelzorgers.

Onderwijs

Stans Drossaert verzorgt onderwijs voor de Bacheloropleiding Psychologie en de Masteropleiding Health Psychology. Hieronder een overzicht van de vakken waarbij zij betrokken is:
