Request an ISBN

To get access you have to sign in with your borrower number and password. Your borrower number is the (8 digit!) number on your employee/student card, excluding the letter m or s.

When you independently publish a UT-related publication you have to request an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) at the library yourselves. Within 3 days the library sends you an email with the ISBN, as well as a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) when it concerns a dissertation.

Scopus offers a large number of search and refine options, including citation analysis going back to 1996.

Web of Science contains the abstracts of peer-reviewed articles and conference publications, completed with citation details. This offers the possibility to trace back citations as far as 1945 (natural sciences) or 1956 (social sciences).

The journals indexed in Web of Science are also known as “ISI journals” and have an Impact Factor.
