For employees

The UT Workstation can be seen as a package of ICT facilities and is the property of the LISA. UT employees requiring a UT Workstation for his or her job, may be eligible for this type of package. This package of ICT facilities is offered in 4 variations, also known as lease packages. The type of workstation you will need to use depends on faculty-based agreements. This is therefore not a free choice.

The lease packages offered by the LISA are:

High-end Notebook;

Allround Notebook;

(Parts of) the lease packages are replaced based on the LISA's plan. It is therefore not possible to request replacement of (a part of) the current UT Workstation. The LISA keeps a record of this. When a part is replaced, a different lease package can be requested. This is, however, linked to faculty-based agreements and can therefore only be done with approval. In the event that, on account of technical restrictions, the employee requires modifications to the current UT Workstation, this can be modified in consultation with the faculty and the LISA. New employees who take on an existing position are able to use the ex-employees UT Workstation, unless the previous employee has taken the old UT Workstation for personal use. If a new employee is given a new position for which a new UT Workstation has to be set up, a new lease package can be requested. However, this has to be done with your faculty's approval.

If, as a new employee, you are given a new position for which a UT Workstation is not yet available, you can request a new UT Workstation. You can do this with your faculty's approval. You can request a new UT Workstation from the Service Desk.

You can find more information about the costs of this service on the rates page.

To be able to request a UT Workstation, you:

have to have a UT employee registration;

have to have an approval issued by the head of the faculty in charge of budgets;

have to not yet have a UT Workstation available to you, whilst that is a requirement for the position you will occupy.

In the event of replacement and delivery, the new UT Workstation is supplied within two days.

For support, use the self-service page and the manuals. Should you have any other questions or should a fault occur, please contact the Service desk ICT.

The UT Workstation can offer three types of support: Standard, Basic and Custom. You can find more information about the types of support offered by LISA and which applies to you below under Workplace Support.
