Sulzer Turbo Services Venlo B.V. is based in Lomm, in the south-eastern part of the Netherlands. It has been in the business of design, manufacture and repair of gas turbine components (burners, combustor liners, hot-gas casings, mixing chambers, blades and vanes) for over 30 years. The company has pioneered the development of advanced repair techniques for hot components and regularly refurbishes components previously considered as irreparable. A full range of parts (both hot section and cold section components) is available to their customers, manufactured in-house or by third-party suppliers. Sulzer Turbo Services Venlo‘s service teams conduct all types of site work. From minor inspections to major overhauls. Their facilities include a state-of-the-art gas turbine rotor overhaul system, which is capable of handling the largest steam and gas turbines, using a 120 tonne overhead crane and purpose-built stacking pit. The 3500 m2 component workshop provides all equipment required for repairs of any turbine components, including single crystal and direction solidified materials.
Sulzer Turbo Services Venlo B.V. will provide on-site training for the young researchers on failure analysis of components and their improved design. A four-day intensive course on the repair and manufacture of gas turbine components is available in the company.
