The network partners seek highly motivated candidates predominantly from Europe but also from other countries. They should be of at least at post-graduate or equivalent level and have a good capacity to perform scientific research and work in an international team of researchers. Their education should match the project scope. Applications from female candidates are particularly welcome. Applicants must satisfy the eligibility rules stipulated by the FP 7 Guidelines of the European Commission:
- Eligible candidates for ESRs are in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research career. This is measured from the date when they obtained the degree (typically a BSc or MSc degree) which would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate.
- Eligible candidates for ERs are either be in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least 4 years of full-time equivalent research expertise. Their research experience may not exceed 5 years full-time equivalent at the time of the appointment.
- Researchers are required to undertake transnational mobility, i.e. move from one country to another. They must not be nationals of the country in which their host organization is based. Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to their recruitment.
