In 2016, we will be organising the second edition of our summer course on Smart Cities during the summer School Festival Curious U. The CuriousU experience is a one-of-a-kind combination of an international summer school and a festival offering academic courses, music, sports, theatre, inspirational speakers.
The topic for the 2016 course is Smart Cities: From concept to practice. The content of the program is divided into three clusters: 1) Infrastructure and Resources (on the physical side of the city, the "tangible town"), 2) Digital Cities (about the digital possibilities, the "invisible city") and 3) Social Innovation (social dimension, we explain both the "human city" and "organized city"). The program is made in collaboration with our partners in Curitiba, Brazil, as well as the city of Enschede together with SME Mobidot. The Dutch National Research Agenda also offers a session on the new research route Smart and Liveable cities.
We are accepting 25 students. More information is available here.
