On the 11th of June, the annual IGS/BMS PhD Day was being held. The program consisted out of various subjects all related to following a PhD trajectory. Various aspects of doing research were discussed, i.e. the correct storage and management of data (by representatives of the IGS Datalab) and the ethical aspects of doing research were human test subjects are (in-)directly involved (by a representative of the BMS Ethics Committee). Also the career perspectives after finishing a PhD were a theme, during an inspirational workshop given by a representative of the Postdoc Career Development Initiative (PCDI).
Besides that the PhD Day offered a stage for very interesting presentations of the research that is being carried out by the PhDs within IGS/BMS. This in the form of both plenary poster presentations and pitch talks. We want to thank all the partaking PhD’s for their inspiring and enthusiastic contribution. We want to congratulate the prizewinners of both the poster presentation and pitch talk competition.
Annemieke Konijnendijk (PA/HTSR) and Annemieke Witteveen (HTSR) congrats on your posters and presentations! And Koen de Koning (CSTM) and Beau Warbroek (CSTM) congrats on your pitch talks! We have made a small photo impression of the PhD Day, which you can find in the photo album in the menu on the left. You can also find all the posters that were presented in the menu on the left.
We want to thank all partaking PhD’s and other colleagues (presenters and assessors of the pitches and posters) who made this day possible. We are looking forward to the next PhD Day!
