Dr. Marci Meingast shares her adventures going from academia to industry, moving from the world of special effects to user interface design to agricultural robotics.
Working at both large companies as well as a tiny startup, she shares the differences
in work culture and her takeaways from being a woman in tech.
Marci is a Senior Scientist at Blue River Technology in Silicon Valley. Her work at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and usability have taken her from working in media tools at Adobe, to being a project lead at Intel in advance media interactions, to her current role at an agricultural robotics startup.
She received her PhD at the University of California, Berkeley and is an avid saxophone player, art enthusiast, and life-long Beatles fan.
