Female Faculty Network Twente (FFNT)

Dear ladies,

The Female Faculty Network Twente invites you to an afternoon workshop:

“Image and Impact: Inspiration for Executive Presence”

Led by Riet de Vlieger

on 14 July 2015 from 13.30 till 16.30 hrs.

In the Hotel Drienerburght

The first communication you have on others in any offline meeting is always visual. Making an impact from the first moment you enter a room is mainly a result of how you look. The question is what you can do to project a professional image that projects and is carried by your position and who you really are AND that is in line with your professional ambition and personal goals, within the academic setting.

Upgrade your look and be in the game

If you miss the opportunity of a great impression you will need to work harder to get your point across, or to be recognized as one of the key players. What you wear either supports your impact or takes it down. Let’s talk about how to upgrade your look and be in the game. We will talk about first impressions and the significance of it. And then discuss some tools to support your executive presence and personal branding.

Dressed for the occasion

It would be great if you walk into the room, dressed the way you would be for a specific situation in your professional life. During the workshop I will work with a couple of volunteers or with all participants one on one, on appearance and nonverbal communication for that specific situation at the front of the room.

This will show how a look can be upgraded by using simple techniques on colour, shape, makeup and accessories. You will walk away with a number of easy to implement tips for the next day and every day after.
