followed by
Individual coaching sessions
on April 14, 11.00-17.30 hrs
by prof. Tineke Willemsen and John Visser
In Drienerburght, room 3
Background
The under-representation of women in the higher levels of academia is brought about by different factors. Historical, cultural and socio-psychological factors all play a role, while women influence their own career opportunities to a considerable extent as well. Being heard and noticed and ensuring that superiors reward their efforts can facilitate the promotion. Effective negotiation is part and parcel of this process. The objective of the workshop is to discuss specific aspects which are important for female academics in negotiating and to practise negotiating in a simulated real-life setting. Based on individual needs after the initial workshop we will offer each participant to discuss her own situation in depth with a coach in the individual follow-up coaching session.
Workshop Program on March 24

14.15 1 or 2 small exercises in pairs
