Workshop Smart Networking

Many people are hesitant to network. The focus of this workshop is to learn to network in a practical, low-threshold manner.

No matter how talented or passionate you are about science, positions in academia are scarce and the field is highly competitive. To achieve your goals, networking skills are a must. Apart from performance and productivity, it is above all cooperation and network relations that determine the path of academic careers. Being well connected and carrying out research in cooperative partnerships is very important.

What rules apply for academic networking and what strategies of action have proven effective? In the interactive workshop we will focus on describing your own career goal and, most important: the network strategy that can help you achieve your goals. We also practice networking conversations and your elevator pitch of course!
