We preferably receive catering orders for the New Year no later than on Tuesday 22 December because of the holiday period.

Heating/Lighting buildings between Christmas and New Year's

In the period the university is closed (24 December 2015 – 4 January 08:00) the heating/lighting in the buildings will be set to the weekend setting. This saves on energy considerably.

Registering Christmas parties
Many employees and students are organising a Christmas party or activity on campus. We would like to have an overview of these planned activities in case of any calamities. That is why we ask you to register your activity:
- Less than 20 people: at the building's Service Desk
- More than 20 people: at the event department .

Christmas trees
All natural Christmas trees will be picked up and removed on Friday 23 December from 12:00 onwards. Make sure the trees are no longer decorated. The trees need to be placed at the building's main entrance. Please contact the Service Desk if you need some help. The Internal Service can provide assistance.

Christmas lights
The joyous Christmas period has started along with its many decorations. We would like to point out safety with respect to Christmas lights to everyone. Make sure that, at the end of the day, the Christmas lights are switched off and that they are unplugged. Christmas lights are an increased fire hazard. Be alert!

For rules regarding decorations and fire safety, see:

We wish you the very best 2017!

For questions or remarks, contact the Facilities Department via your building's Service Desk.
