WWIC 2009 Submission Instructions

Submitting a camera-ready version

The deadline for submitting a camera-ready version of accepted papers is March 19, 2009. The camera-ready paper should not exceed 13 pages formatted according to the guidelines given at the LNCS Author Instruction Page.

The camera-ready submission includes the following:

(a) A completed copyright form. Use "WWIC 2009" as the title of the book and "van den Berg, Heijenk, Osipov, Staehle" as the editors.

(b) Source (input) files:

(i) For example, LaTeX2e files for the text and PS/EPS or PDF/JPG files for all figures.

(ii) Any further style files and fonts you have used together with your source files and that are not generally available at CTAN.

(iii) Final DVI file (for papers prepared using LaTeX/TeX).

(iv) Final PDF file (for reference).

(v) RTF files (for word-processing systems other than LaTeX/TeX).

The texts in all files must be identical. The volume editors will check the contributions, decide in which order they shall appear in the printed volume and will send the complete material on to Springer.

Please name your file as ZZZ.YYY, where ZZZ stands for your paper number and YYY stands for zip, tar or other archive extension.

Please submit all files using EDAS.

Please be aware that at least one regular (not student) registration before March 26, 2009 per accepted paper is mandatory to include the paper in the proceedings of the conference, even if the presenting author is a student.

Submitting a paper for review

All submissions will be handled electronically. Papers submitted for review must be in Adobe Portable Data Format (PDF) format, and submitted via the EDAS conference management system. For any given paper, each person to be designated as an author in the EDAS system must have an EDAS account.

To make a submission:


Login to your EDAS account at http://edas.info. You must create an account if you do not already have one.


Select the "Submit Paper" tab.


Locate the WWIC 2009 conference in the tabled listing, and select the orange and white icon corresponding to the WWIC 2009 conference.


Complete the electronic form to register your submission with EDAS and then upload your PDF document as instructed.

The proceedings will be published by Springer in the series Lecture Notes in Computer Science. The maximum size of papers should be 12 pages including tables and figures. The cover page must contain an abstract of at least 70 and at most 150 words, 3-5 keywords, name and affiliation of author(s) as well as the corresponding author's e-mail and postal address. In your submission, please adhere to the formatting standard for a 12-page manuscript of Springer-Verlag LNCS available at Information for LNCS Authors. The page is also accessible via the LNCS Home Page (http://www.springer.com/lncs). There you will find templates for preparing the submission using either LaTeX (recommended) or Microsoft Word. Notice that in the submission phase we only accept a PDF document produced from the properly formatted original editable document.
