Prof. Mehmet Aksit receives HOGIAF Award
Prof. Mehmet Aksit has received the HOGIAF Award in the category 'Best Turkish-Dutch Academician on the 18th of April in the city of The Hague. The award is presented to him by Henk Bleker, who is a State Secretary within the Dutch Government.
The competition for the award was initiated within the context of the 400-year-old diplomatic and trade relations between the Netherlands and Turkey.
Prof. Aksit was selected among the nominated candidates by a jury formed by some prominent Dutch politicians such as Bernard Bot, Ellen Fowler, Annemarie Jorritsma and Frans Weisglas.
HOGIAF is an umbrella organization of seven trade associations formed mainly by immigrant entrepreneurs.
