Arjan Meijerink wins third prize in final of the UT Central Education Award

Arjan Meijerink has won the third prize in the final of the Central Education Award of the University of Twente. The first prize was awarded to Jurnan Schilder (CTW). Niels Baas (GW) finished in second place.

The Central Education Award is the highest academic prize in the area of education at the University of Twente. Every year it is awarded to the best teacher of the university, based on a selection from the winners of the education awards handed out by the individual study associations.

After winning the Education Award Electrical Engineering 2014 and writing a motivation letter to the Central Education Award committee, Arjan was selected for an interview, and, based on this, got nominated for the final. This took place on Wednesday June 4 in Waaier 3. The three finalists demonstrated their teaching proficiency in mini-lectures of 20 minutes each, and were ranked based on votes from the audience and jury.
