Stefan van de Beek wins the Ph.D Carrousel at the CTIT Symposium 2014
Stefan van de Beek has won the PhD Carrousel at the CTIT Symposium 2014 with a short presentation about his research activities. A selection of 10 PhD candidates from the University of Twente gave a 3 minute elevator pitch about their research activities. A jury judged the pitch by catchiness, attractiveness, content and Q&A.
Stefan’s research activities focus on improving the robustness of wireless mission-critical communications, such as the C2000 system, against electromagnetic attacks. The effects of electromagnetic attacks on these communication systems are studied, and possible protection strategies are identified.
The award was presented on June 3. The price of €500 was provided by CTIT, the largest academic research institute in the Netherlands.
