Lo Bour got his Master’s degree at the University of Eindhoven in Technical Physics and his PhD at the university of Utrecht at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Since 1985 he was employed as a clinical physicist at the Department of Neurology/Clinical Neurophysiology in the AMC, Amsterdam. Since May he is retired but still has a position for one day a week at the AMC and for one day a week at the Department of Applied Mathematics at the UT.
His main research interest is in the field of Medical Technology in general and in the field of Movement Disorders in particular. He has published in the field of Optics of the human eye and in Neuroscience related to eye movements and to movement disorders, including dystonia, spasticity, Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome, Parkinson’s Disease and Essential Tremor. He is now also consultant for Companies in the field of Medical Technology.
