Paolo Cifani is a PhD student in the group of Multiscale Modeling and Simulation in the Department of Applied Mathematics at University of Twente.
He got his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Italy) in July 2013. The work of his master’s thesis concerns a fluid-structure interaction problem inside of a solid rocket booster. His research interest are in fluid dynamics and numerical methods.
He is currently working on a PhD project on computational modeling of boiling flow regime maps. The PhD project, sponsored also by Stork, is focused the development and validation of a numerical method based on a multi-scale approach to determine flow pattern maps for heated two-phase flows.
