IWQoS 2008 invites submission of manuscripts that present original research results and that neither have been published nor are currently under review for another conference or journal. Submissions will be judged on originality, significance, interest, clarity, relevance, and correctness. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must present the paper at IWQoS 2008.
All the papers will be published via IEEE.
We recommend that you use the IEEE transactions format. You can download them from the official IEEE website. LaTeX transactions style file is available here. We will only accept files in Adobe PDF format. Please do not try to upload PS, DOC, or RTF files. Note that PDF files should be compliant with the IEEE Xplore format.
Submissions should be full-length papers that are no longer than 10 single-spaced, double-column pages with font sizes of 10 or larger, including all figures and must include an abstract of 100 to 150 words. References can appear on a separate page (not included in page count).
We solicit submissions of short papers for the session outlined above. The short papers are limited to three single-spaced pages. Accepted short position papers will be included in the conference proceedings.
Paper registration and submission to IWQoS 2008 will be handled using the JEMS system, which will be open for registration and submission from January 11, 2008. The address for paper registration and submission is
Paper registration and submission is a three-step process.
1) Author Registration: First, authors are required to register as new users in JEMS, in the case they do not have a JEMS account yet. Note that only one user registration is needed if you submit more than one paper. After user registration, the login data will be sent to the specified email address. This data should be used to access the system to accomplish the following remaining steps.
2) Abstract Registration: Authors have to register their papers and associated abstracts by clicking on the "Submit paper" button in JEMS. The authors are asked to specify the name of the co-authors, the paper title, abstract, topics, and the paper track (full paper, short position paper). The system will then assign a paper ID to each abstract submission. The extended deadline for abstract registration is February 4, 2008, 21:55 BRST (23:55 GMT). Abstract registration consists of providing plain text information with length of 100 to 150 words. No PDF file is required in this step.
3) Manuscript Upload: The final step consists on uploading the paper manuscript. This step can be done jointly with the abstract registration step if you prefer. For those authors who prefer to upload their papers after step #2, the paper ID must be used. You must access the IWQoS2008 address in JEMS (informed above) and access the records of your already registered abstracts. The extended deadline for paper upload is February 4, 2008, 21:55 BRST (23:55 GMT).
