Websites for children require a proper search function
Main conclusions of Hanna Jochmann-Mannak’s thesis appeared in the Dutch newspaper “Nederlands Dagblad”.
One of these conclusions is that all websites for children should have a good functioning search possibility. If not, children will go to Google and are likely to lose their way there. In her research children between eight and twelve rated several trendy websites as “not good”. Attractive visual effects were too distracting from the actual questions the children had.
