Abstract:

Gnuplot is the de-facto standard for ploting data in the academic world. In this talk an alternative is given: python. Some use case scenarios will be presented to show how easy it is to read data (in various formats), to perform basic statistics (using scipy/numpy library) and to generate graphs (with matplotlib) in an integrated environment (ipython).
