Opening Centre for Monitoring and Coaching, September 15th, 2015

On Tuesday, September 15th, the new UT/CTIT research centre Centre for Monitoring and Coaching (CMC) will be officially opened. The Centre for Monitoring and Coaching aims to develop smart, innovative technological solutions for applied questions on health and well-being. This is unique in the sense that we combine multidisciplinary expertise from different fields, including the groups BSS/Telemedicine (Biomedical Signals & Systems), HMI (Human Media Interaction) and PGT (Psychology, Health & Technology) from the University of Twente.

At the official openings day of the CMC you will be informed about the centre as an organization and get insights into the opportunities that arise from the multidisciplinary collaboration through presentations and workshops. Besides that, there is ample opportunity for creating and extending partnerships between CMC members or with possible external partners.  The launch event will bring together scientists from the various UT groups involved in the centre, as well as internal UT partners that share our scientific interests and various external partners from the relevant societal fields. The CMC hopes to find new possibilities for scientific research through your input on this day. Last, but not least, the day will host the ceremonial and official opening of the Centre for Monitoring and Coaching.

The event will take place in the new DesignLab of the University of Twente (http://www.utwente.nl/designlab/). More information about the CMC and the preliminary programme can be found here: http://www.utwente.nl/ctit/cmc/
