University of Twente will revise its research organization In the past, we chose to establish research institutes as independent units alongside the university’s faculties. With this approach we aimed to strengthen our research activities and become more significant in the national and international research community. This organization structure proved very successful in the past. Given the current developments, however, the Strategic Board has concluded that research at the University of Twente can be better positioned by restructuring the organizational model.

This has enabled us to formulate a vision for the future of our university, built on the ambitious outlook that we all share.
The university from a different perspective Yesterday evening, Thursday 12 June, the winners of Create the UT of Tomorrow made a balloon ride above the university campus. Almost 300 staff members, students and alumni participated in the think tank about the future of the University of Twente. Four groups won first prize. Mixed Vision, Utopia, Toxy Turbo's and Net Worth were literally given the opportunity to view the university from a different perspective.
New University of Twente strategy to focus on change of culture The University of Twente’s new strategy was presented to the University Council for the first time yesterday. Following an intensive process over the past several months, the Deans, Scientific Directors and the Executive Board adopted the new strategy this week.
Create the UT of tomorrow winners: the enterprising university and ‘small world networks’ On 16 April the Create the UT of Tomorrow think tank jury announced the winners from among the entries submitted on and after 1 April. The jury evaluated all proposals based on the criteria of Novelty, Relevance, Workability and Thoroughness.
Young Academy of University of Twente (JA@UT) In January 2014 the Young Academy of the University of Twente (JA@UT), with Victor van der Chijs president of the UT Executive Board, took place. During this meeting several topics were discussed to become acquainted with each other.
Dialogue about a sharper strategy Victor van der Chijs, the President of the Executive Board, believes that the University of Twente has every reason to face the future with confidence. However, there will be a need to make sharper choices that keep up with developments in society. He wants to engage the organization and other stakeholders in a dialogue about a clear technological signature in a societal context.
