This year the Student Union made it possible for teams of UT employees to participate in the national Think Tank for students in the Netherlands: Create Tomorrow, at 22 April, 2015. This stirring happening takes place every two years in an enormous tent on campus.
Almost 20 groups of students and employees all enthusiastically set to work to devise a programme for future proof education at the UT. The groups were asked to take into account technological developments such as online education, student driven learning, augmented and virtual reality, smart campus and digital university networks.
The members of the Board of SV Proto (Creative Technology) formed the winning student team. The came up with the idea of ‘The Connected Classroom.’
The winning team consisting of employees of the Centre of Educational Support (CES), called themselves VisIOnairies 2.0. They proposed the idea of GUTS The University of Twente Game.
The ideas emerged during Create the UT of Tomorrow are also used as input for the vision of ICT in education.
