THE Twente University Fund MAKES SPECIAL FACILITIES POSSIBLE FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF TWENTE AND ITS STUDENTS. FACILITIES THAT STATE FUNDING DOES NOT PROVIDE.
Alumni and relations of the University of Twente can contribute to reinforcing the University of Twente's unique character as an entrepreneurial university and a vibrant campus as a home base for students and a breeding ground for new ideas and discoveries.
OBJECTIVE
The Twente University Fund raises and manages funds with the following statutory objective: 'To provide effective support to the University of Twente'. The common theme throughout the years has been: Invest where necessary. As an independent foundation the Board makes its own choices. This has been the case for many years, in close coordination and cooperation with the University of Twente's Board, which is also represented in the University Fund's Board. The common basic principle is: the growth and prosperity of the university and the university community.
The way in which the Fund strives to achieve these objectives invariably reflects the needs of the UT and is therefore not set in stone. Specific examples currently include (partial) funding for:
- Study tours
- Scientific conferences
- Scholarships
- Awards for excellence
- Sport, culture and social activities
- Study associations and alumni activities
