Welcome to TSLOTS: Twente Smart Logistics & Transport Solutions Network. Born as a bottom-up initiative from researchers at the University of Twente, TSLOTS is a network connecting academia, students, and industry partners in the fields of mobility, logistics, and optimization. The T-SLOTS community brings together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers in the domains of Transport, Logistics, and Mobility.
Our multi-disciplinary group of members aims to push the frontiers of science and practice through education, knowledge sharing, and joint projects, fostering cooperation and a sense of belonging in a warm community.
We do not replace existing research groups; we connect them. We address the problems of scattered research and hidden resources to maximize the use of shared knowledge and infrastructure.
Our Core Pillars & Objectives
To bring our mission to life, we focus on three main pillars combined with key objectives
- Community & Collaboration: Building a connected network to build partnerships with Dutch and European organizations and stakeholders.
- Visibility & Impact: Giving stakeholders a clear view of the network's expertise to initiate and support R&D projects that inspire, ideate, and implement. We actively contribute to the latest and greatest in transport, logistics, and mobility research.
- Shared Infrastructure & Knowledge: Consolidating digital and academic resources so they are easily accessible to all partners, while preparing future employees for their careers through industry-driven education.
What We Do/offer
Our activities are designed to foster connection and growth within our network:
- Workshops, Events, and Webinars: Practical sessions covering a wide variety and multi-disciplinary range of topics, both online and offline.
- Educational Activities: Organizing company visits and life-long learning courses, and faciliate student exchanges and in-company internships.
- Keeping each other up-to-date: Proactive communication via newslettes to inform about recent developments by the community, for the community.
