Dr. Bayraktar awarded by STW for research on smart adaptive mirrors

Dr. Muharrem Bayraktar has been granted a third place in the Simon Stevin Fellow contest by the visitors of the STW Annual Congress on 24 November 2016. He was awarded by STW for his PhD research on smart adaptive mirrors.

The Simon Stevin Fellowship is an honorary title granted by STW  to promising young researchers who have contributed to applications in their STW funded PhD research.

Muharrem has been awarded for developing smart adaptive mirrors for the next generation extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines. The smart adaptive mirrors enable shaping of EUV wavefronts down to nanoscale dimensions to fabricate computer chips with greater precision.
