Our main aims are
Improve understanding of the physics of ion scattering on surfaces and thin films
Stimulate the application of LEIS for surface and thin film composition analysis
In order to achieve this, the committee
coordinates the organisation of the annual LEIS workshop, hosted by various LEIS users in Europe as stand-alone workshop or in combination with a conference on surface and thin film analysis
serves as central contact between LEIS users world wide
