NWO Mat4Sus project: “CO-TECH: CO-Tolerance for Electrochemical Compression of Hydrogen

January 17th 2018:  Two projects granted within the NWO Mat4Sus project

“CO-TECH: CO-Tolerance for Electrochemical Compression of HydrogenHyet Hydrogen, Baira Donoeva (Utrecht University) and Bastian Mei (University of Twente)

In this public-private collaboration the partners will develop new catalytic materials to prevent CO poisoning of anode materials. The partners will follow two strategies to improve the CO resistance:

•           pre-treatment of reformate streams by preferential oxidation of CO (CO PROX) 

•           the development of CO tolerant electrocatalysts.

We are looking forward to 2-years of exciting research!
