Dave Blank: "Higher Professional Education -and Saxion especially- is very important to me as an alumnus and in this way I can better contribute to the economic development of the Eastern part of the Netherlands in a better way. In addition to the University of Twente,   which is conducting fundamental and applied research, Saxion plays a major role in the field of applied research in collaboration with companies, institutions and master degree programmes.

We will ensure that companies, institutions and public authorities in our region will make even more use of the research strengths of both leading institutions. The Eastern part of the Netherlands can really make a difference here."

Saxion's President of the Board, Anka Mulder, is very happy with the arrival of Dave Blank: "He will bring an enormous amount of experience, knowledge and a large network along with him, which will help strengthen the applied research. This is important for Saxion, our collaboration with the UT, but primarily for the region as well."

Victor van de Chijs, Chairman of the Board of the University is pleased with the collaboration as well. "The University of Twente and Saxion shoulder a great responsibility to enhance the region economically through research and innovation. The collaboration between both institutions is an extremely important aspect of generating more social impact."
