BIOGRAPHY
Remco de Bree is a full professor and head of the department of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the University Medical Center Utrecht. His special interests are the clinical applications and improvements of diagnostic imaging techniques, sentinel node procedure and sarcopenia in head and neck cancer patients. He has authored and co-authored over 400 articles in (inter)national peer-reviewed journals. He is the chair of the Research steering committee of the Dutch Head and Neck Society (NWHHT), board member of the NWHHT, member of several editorial boards, member of the advisory board of the Dutch Oncology Research Platform (DORP), the chair of the committee for revision of the Dutch guidelines for head and neck tumors and board member of the Dutch head and neck cancer patient advocacy group (PVHH).
