Xingwu Sun enrolled in the Jilin University in China in 2005, and graduated in Applied Chemistry at the College of Chemistry. In 2009 he joined the group of professor Chen Chunhai at the AGM Institute as a laboratory assistant. Thermal materials and synthetics of monomer and polymer were his main research directions, and he received his master degree in 2012.
The same year, he started his PhD period at the MCS group, University of Twente, the Netherlands, on the topic of “protein folding in confinement ”. The aim of his project is to explore the pathway and mechanism of protein folding which is a key event in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer and Parkinson.
