Peter van der Linde was born on the 5th of August 1985 in Maartensdijk, the Netherlands. He obtained a bachelor degree in Electrical engineering with a minor in microelectronics. His bachelor was finished with a project in the field of electrochemical sensors. A physics premaster was completed at the University of Twente before the master program of Nanotechnology was joined.

Peter joined the group Mesoscale Chemical Systems on the 28th of August 2013. He obtained his MSc. degree by working on the development of a micro-device for selective hydrogenation of aromatic hydrocarbons. Since january 2015 under the supervision of, Dr. Fernandez Rivas and Prof.Dr. Gardeniers, he is working on a promotion project entailing nanoscale (photo)electrolytic gas generation, microscale bubble nucleation and macroscale bubble transport. The project will focus on hydrogen and oxygen evolution and the influence of surface properties on different length scales. The project is part of the MCEC Research.
