PhD Student

Bjorn Borgelink was born on the 14th of July 1992 in Enschede, the Netherlands. He received a Bachelor degree in Applied Physics at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Subsequently, he joined the Applied Physics Master program at the University of Twente. He carried out his Master’s assignment a the Mesoscale Chemical Systems group, where he worked on the fabrication and characterization of a geometrical asymmetric tunnelling junction device.

As of November 2017, he started as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gardeniers. His promotion project entails the modelling, design and fabrication of an extrusion head, suitable for electrospinning of nanowires. The project is part of the Chemical Reaction Engineering by Additive Manufacturing of Mesoscale MetaMaterials (CREAM4) project.
