THE UT HAS APPOINTED DR. CEES OTTO AS PROFESSOR OF MEDICAL CELL BIOPHYSICS AS OF 1 JANUARY 2023.
Cees has been chairing the MCBP group since the retirement of Prof. Terstappen on 1 September 2022 and will continue until his own retirement in April.
His appointment as full professor recognizes his longstanding contributions to research, education, and valorization over the past 40 years. He is best known for his creative and fundamental innovations that have advanced the field of nonlinear spectroscopy, and for recently bringing it into clinical practice.
The faculty board congratulates Cees on this well-deserved recognition.
