ASML Technology Scholarship for Eloy Marcelis

Eloy Marcelis, a Bachelor student in the Inorganic Materials Science group, was awarded with the ASML Technology Scholarship. Eloy joined the Optoelectronic Materials team under supervision of assist. prof. Monica Morales Massis in April 2019 and will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics.

The scholarship which lasts for two years will support Eloy during his Master studies in Applied Physics at the University of Twente. Next to the financial support towards tuition fees and living allowance, scholarship holders automatically enroll in a personal development program and get a personal coach at ASML, a Dutch multinational and high tech giant specialized in lithography tools for the semiconductor industry. In return, scholarship holders are expected to share their enthusiasm for technology with high school students through various activities.

Out of the 325 applicants in the first round, Eloy is one of the only 25 students who successfully passed all three rounds of admission of the selective ASML Technology Scholarship. We congratulate Eloy Marcelis and wish him all the best for his further studies.
