Welcome to the Winter Introduction Days for master students of the Faculty of Science and Technology!

This event is your ideal gateway to discover the University of Twente, our vibrant campus, the city of Enschede, and all the exciting aspects of your student life. It’s also your chance to take care of important formalities needed for your time in the Netherlands.

The Winter Introduction Days will take place on Monday, 3 February, and Tuesday, 4 February 2025, and are designed for all premaster, master, and exchange students starting their studies in February.

Faculty Day

To ensure you start your studies on the right foot, we warmly invite you to join our Faculty Day on Monday, 3 February.

This day is designed to help you settle into your study programme and the university. You’ll gain valuable insights into the curriculum and the educational systems we use at the University of Twente. More importantly, it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with your fellow students in a fun and informal setting—laying the foundation for friendships and collaboration during your studies.

Attending the Faculty Day is essential to kick-starting your journey at the UT. Don’t miss this chance to set yourself up for success and meet the people who will share this exciting new chapter with you!

NB: In rare cases where classes overlap with the introduction programme, we encourage you to reach out to your study adviser or teacher to discuss the possibility of attending the Introduction activities, as they play a key role in helping you settle into university life. If missing a class isn’t possible or you prefer not to, you’re welcome to join part of the introduction programme instead. Please make sure to sign up, even if you only participate partially, so we can arrange sufficient catering and lunch.

Facility Market

On Tuesday 4 February, the UT Facility Market takes place. The Facility Market is an informative marketplace for new international students. During the event, you will find out about the various facilities, services, and student associations University of Twente has to offer. You can speak with the representatives at the stands and ask questions. UT Student Services will also be present to answer your questions about visas, housing, bank accounts, formality appointments and other student administrative matters. Besides that, there is a bike market, with the opportunity to buy a bike!
