Project Immobilization of VEGF in biomaterials in order to induce neovascularization for tissue repair.
My name is Ester the Boer, a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Twente. Here, at the university, I started with the bachelor program Technical Medicine from 2012 until 2015. I continued with the master program Biomedical Engineering. Recently, I finished my Internship at the Basil Hetzel Institute in Adelaide, where I worked on the project about the ability of enzymatically crosslinked Dex-TA/HA-TA hydrogels to support breast cancer cell growth and survival in vitro and in vivo.
March 2017, I joined the the DBE group to work on my master thesis focused on the immobilization of VEGF in biomaterials to induce neovascularization under the guidance of dr. João Crispim.
