Pundarik Prasittisart graduated from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand in 2011 with First Class Honours B.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Tract: Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy). Her final-year project involved the development of oxybenzone solid lipid nanoparticles for sunscreen formulations under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Angkana Tantituvanont. Prior to that, she completed her pharmacy internship programs at Vibhavadi hospital and Sena hospital and an industrial internship program at the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) in Thailand.  After graduation, she worked as an analytical researcher at the Research and Development Institute of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO), Thailand. Her specialty was to develop a method for quality control of pharmaceutical raw materials and products. She was a part-time academic tutor in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology at Rangsit University between 2012 and 2013 and was a part-time pharmacist at Panyananthaphikkhu Chonprathan Medical Center in 2013. In October 2015, she joined the Advanced Materials and Healthcare Technologies Division, School of Pharmacy, the University of Nottingham as a postgraduate research student. Under the supervision of Dr. David Scurr, Prof. Morgan Alexander and Prof. Martyn Davies, her Ph.D. project focuses on understanding the role of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose in controlling drug release using chemical imaging. She currently spends a short visit to the Developmental BioEngineering (DBE) group, University of Twente, aiming to develop injectable hydrogel systems for cartilage defects with inflammation. This work is under the supervision of Prof. Piet Dijkstra.
