 Biography

My name is Marjolein Haveman. I am a Technical Medicine master student and currently working on my master thesis at the MST at the department of Clinical Neurophysiology. I am  studying the role of EEG monitoring in Intensive Care patients with traumatic brain injury. I received a bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Sciences in Groningen and after completing the pre-master’s program of Technical Medicine in 2015, I started with the master with specialization ‘Medical Sensing & Stimulation’. My internships were at the departments of Neurosurgery  (UMCG, Groningen), Intensive Care (UMCG, Groningen), Traumatology (MUMC, Maastricht) and Urology (UMCU, Utrecht) where I studied, among other things, intraoperative neuromonitoring during spinal surgery and sleep at the ICU.  I hope to graduate as Technical Physician by the end of 2018.

Research interests

My main research interests are neurophysiology and human movement.
