At the end of his two years of "classes préparatoires", Julien studied at Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris for four years. There, he completed his Bachelor in Chemistry (diploma from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, UPMC) and his Masters in Chemistry, Materials (diploma of Sorbonne-Université, ex-UPMC) in 2017. His master's thesis was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Benoit Fleury (Parisian Institute of Molecular Chemistry, IPCM) and was titled "Hybrid CdSe nanocrystals for optical treatment of magnetic information".
After his last year at ENS, Julien started his PhD on October 1, 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Nathalie Katsonis and Dr. Tibor Kudernac. His project aims to create mechanical forces on a vesicle through the (dis)assembly of supramolecular tubules.
