Programme-specific appendix MSc. Health Sciences Article 7

 

The curriculum of each track of the master program Technical Medicine includes two optional courses.

Students are free in their topic choice, ranging from a key TM topic that will be studied in depth to a general topic from a new discipline.



Rules

Optional courses have to be approved by the MEX before the start of the course, as stated in the EER.
Criteria for approval are:
- Minimum studyload of 5 EC
- Course has to be supplementary to the student’s curriculum of his/her master track (minimum of 4 EC new content)
- Master level course
Courses that meet the above criteria and that are offered by the master program Technical Medicine or any other master program offered by the UT or other universities in the Netherlands or in the EU, will usually be approved.
Courses that do not meet the above criteria and that are offered by the master program Technical Medicine or any other master program offered by the UT or other universities in the Netherlands or in the EU, need discussion by the MEX.

Capita selecta have to be approved by the MEX before the start of the assignment.
Criteria for approval are:
- Master level assignment
- The supervisor meets the requirements of an examiner
- The capita selecta has to be assessed by an examiner other than the supervisor
