The symposium ‘Resilient together: where Pride, science and solidarity meet’ is organised by Think with Pride University of Twente and Saxion. It will take place on Wednesday 8 October, from 14:00 to 17:00 in the Burgerzaal of the town hall. The programme consists of three 50-minute blocks with separate themes, allowing participants to attend one, two, or three blocks. The language of the presentations and discussions is English, audience questions are welcome in Dutch and English.
- The first block is entitled “More power to you – empowering stories on why we still need Pride” and consists of personal stories from LGBTQIA+ people from Twente, an overview of research into the mental health of LGBTQIA+ young people in Twente, and a Q&A and panel discussion.
- The second block is entitled “The future of Pride – is fluid” and will consist of presentations on gender/sex and intersectionality, followed by a Q&A and panel discussion.
- The third block has the theme of “Engagement” and will consist of interactive activities on art, activism, and citizen science.
The afternoon will conclude with drinks.

This is a free event as part of the Rainbow Days Enschede, but registration is mandatory. The event is open to all, you do not need to be connected to Saxion or the University of Twente. Bring your friend/colleague/neighbour!
