Peergrade

Although the Peergrade pilot in academic year 2019-2020 has been evaluated positively, it will not become available at UT. This has to do with unfortunate developments regarding the EU-US Privacy Shield-agreement.

Introduction

Do you wants students to be engaged in more critical reflection? Do you want students to have a deeper understanding of the learned content? With digital peer feedback tools these goals can be achieved without much additional effort. Peergrade is a tool that facilitates peer feedback on an educational product, such as a report, presentation or poster.

Why Peergrade

Peergrade is an online platform to facilitate peer feedback sessions with students. With the help of criteria(questions) students focus on specific feedback points for their peer(s). Next to giving feedback, receiving feedback is also facilitated by the tool. Every student is asked to give a judgment on the value of the feedback they received. For the teacher an overview is given of the progress of students and a criteria analysis is conducted. Besides individual peer feedback, Peergrade also offers group feedback options.

How to use Peergrade

If the pilot is successful, Peergrade is expected to become available for general use at the UT. No software is required to use Peergrade; it will be integrated with Canvas. If you want to know more about using Peergrade, you can go to the website for more information. Please also see the Peergrade Help pages.
